Mitsubishi dan Proton Berkolaborasi untuk "Global Small Car"

Proton dan Mitsubishi hari ini mengumumkan akan melakukan langkah strategis, yaitu berkolaborasi untuk meningkatkan peran mereka di pasar otomotif global.

Kolaborasi yang akan dilakukan adalah memproduksi mesin bersama di Malaysia, memproduksi kendaraan Mitsubishi di fasilitas pabrik Proton di Malaysia, dan penggunaan komponen utama untuk global small car yang akan dirakit di Thailand, Maret mendatang.

  

Proton ingin memanfaatkan mobil kecil atau eco-car ini untuk memperluas pasarnya. Konsep global small car Mitsubishi ini belum diberi nama dan sudah dipamerkannya di Geneva, Bangkok, dan terakhir di Jakarta pada akhir Juli lalu (IIMS 2011).

Proton EMAS with Plug–in Hybrid Drive System

 The detail of this car body is quite elegance and aerodynamic. This car product is entitled Proton EMAS. This compact hybrid car was conceived by Italdesign Giugiaro. A car company from Malaysia presented this Proton EMAS at 2010 Geneva Motor Show. This hybrid car features a plug – in hybrid drive which was presented by Lotus Engineering, this advanced driving system is addressed to optimize the available on-board space and presenting car access become more ergonomics.

The name of EMAS that means ‘gold’ in Malay symbolizes eco mobility with advanced solution. At the 2010 Geneva Motor Show, this proton EMAS comes up in three compat car variant, that are: Emas Comfort that features 5 doors, hatchback saloon, 4 seats, hybrid drivetrain in Comfort and 3550 mm length. Emas Country variant is completed with hatchback saloon, 3 doors, 5 seats, length of 3550 mm and hybrid drive train in a Country. Emas3 City is designed with hatchback saloon, 3 doors, 3+1 Plus seats, 3 m in length in City outfit and completed a plug-in electric drive.
